Informal Party by the Sea

Greetings from the far West of Cornwall!

25th AnniversaryIt's our Silver Wedding Anniversary this year, and we've decided it can't pass unremarked - so we're having a party and you are cordially invited to join us in Hayle (well, technically Phillack) on Saturday June 27th 2009 from about 3pm until sometime Sunday!!

We'll be partying the whole weekend from the Friday night - though the party proper is from 3pm on Saturday until sometime Sunday - and if you can join us earlier you're very welcome to do so.

We've rented a big house on the dunes in Hayle about a mile and a half from here, so we've got some crash space available - if you'd like crash space then do please let us know as soon as possible as it's likely to be popular.

The house is convenient for the beach so if you'd like to bring suitable beach gear please do. It's a great surfing beach and part of Hayle's fabulous three miles of golden sands so it's well worth a visit.

(Dog owners - your dogs are very welcome - there is a part of the beach allowing dogs all day, another part which allows them after 7pm, however, please note under the rental agreement we're restricted to one dog staying on the premises and that has to be Astra - sorry! - other dogs are welcome to visit but we can't put them up overnight)

There are lots of other accommodation options from a very smart B&B Guest House practically next door, through other hotel options, to chalets, caravans, to tent and caravan pitches.  We've also added some links to useful sites and some Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) too.  You can also send us messages via the site.

Presents really aren't necessary - just your company - but if you really insist then contributions to the party would be great - BYOB or Chip In to the Party Fund.

We really hope you can join us - you may even see some other familiar places there.

You'll find information on how to find the house - for the Driving Sat Navvers of you the postcode for the house is TR27 5AF - the house is on a private drive so don't panic when you get close!!!  You shouldn't end up in the sea.  There are two car parks near by - parking for 24 hours from £6.

Those of you on rail are well catered for as Hayle is a mainline stop for most services - and Penzance is only a few miles away - there's an excellent overnight sleeper service as well as cross country services and London Paddington.

Newquay airport is about twenty miles away and has a wide range of flights from a lot of the new low cost airports, both in the UK and France - there are buses and taxis to Hayle or if you can give us good notice (and especially if you're coming in Friday) we may be able to arrange to pick you up.

Accommodation options range from some crash space in the house, to a very highly recommended B&B next door with budget hotels just off the A30 a mile or so away and camping and caravanning among the other options.
