Safecote Ltd. In a report, Ethical Living: Two wheels, page 19, G2, February 15, we were wrong to imply that the writer's slips on his bike were caused because the road had been treated with an anti-icing product manufactured by Safecote Ltd. In fact, the road on which the slips occurred had not been treated with Safecote. As the article stated, the product has been tested by the Transport Research Laboratory, which found no adverse effects. These tests have been supported by further research carried out last year with Durham University. Apologies.

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, president of Iran, has not "called for Israel to be wiped off the map" (Holocaust denial writer jailed for five years, page 21, February 16). The Farsi phrase he employed is correctly translated as "this regime occupying Jerusalem must vanish from the page of time". He was quoting a statement by Iran's first Islamist leader, the late Ayatollah Khomeini.

Our tribute to Pamela Moore (Other lives, Obituaries, page 35, February 15) was regrettably accompanied by a picture of another person of that name who campaigned for road safety after the death of her son in an accident. Many apologies for the distress caused to both families.

A headline, New IVF technique triples success rate, page 11, February 1, was misleading because the technique to which the report referred was first pioneered in IVF by Dr Dagan Wells and Professor Joy Delhanty at University College London in the late 1990s.
